This is why I don't go camping. A Durand woman was lucky to escape serious injury when two trees fell on her camper while she and her husband camped in Arenac County.

Tuesday night's storm did damage to several recreational vehicles at the Pt. Au Gres Campground and Marina where Nancy Rathbun and her husband were staying.

Rathburn's husband looked outside and saw his camper's awning ripped off by the wind, just before the trees fell on their camper.

"And everything came flying through and pushed me forward and that's how I sat," Mrs. Rathbun tells WJRT.

The damage left her pinned behind the table where she had been seated. Her husband and two others then had to tear the side of the camper away in order to rescue her.

Luckily, Rathbun was able to walk away with only minor injuries.

"My back is bruised, just a little, I have a bump here on my forehead, and my back, my head," she said.
