Downtown Flint Festivals Receive Major Boost

Festivals in downtown Flint this year have received a major boost in funding.

MLive reports that the 2014 Parade of Festivals is getting $120,000 from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation. An announcement of the grant of the foundation's website says the festivals will now also include a lunchtime concert series at the new Flint Farmers Market pavilion in downtown.

From June through October, there are 18 festivals planned.
