The Truth About Disney Coming to Michigan. It’s Not What You Think
A few times every year lots of Michigan people fall for the latest "Disney is coming" hoax.
At this point in the rumor mill... Lapeer, Detroit, Grand Rapids and Escanaba should each have a park.

Disney Coming to Michigan Story
The latest rumor is even more ridiculous. And here's why.
There's a "fan website," that looks like a SPAM generator, called Disney Dining.
Their most recent headline says, "Disney Finds New Home Located in Michigan." Rather than read the story, people have been sharing it all over social media.
There isn't a single sentence or related link within the article that states Disney is coming to Michigan. (Frustrated, sarcastic font -- So, why not share the story anyway?!)
Disney is NOT coming to Michigan.
What's more damning... if folks had read the article, they'd see fans of Disney's "Tomorrow Land" are comparing its disrepair to Detroit (and not in "cool renaissance" way).
Besides the lack of truth in the headline and "rumor story," consider how that would work, or not, for Disney.
Unless a whole theme park was created under a dome, there's no way they'd be profitable year 'round.
Winter would be brutal for theme park tourism and any ride/attraction based outdoors.
A quick Google search will show you the BS article first and a handful of fact checked stories proving this rumor has been going around since 2018.
