Lauren Podell, a reporter for WDIV in Detroit, has resigned after allegedly using the n-word to a coworker.

This comes three years after she used the f-word during a live shot in Lapeer. This incident, however, happened off-air.

Podell started at the station in 2007 after winning a contest at a shopping mall. The comment was made that she's tired of reporting on "n*****s killing one another in Detroit." WDIV has made no public comment or announcement, citing that this is a personnel matter.

Do you think the station has an obligation to tell their viewers what happened? So far, it's been radio silence (pun intended), and people on their Facebook page are NOT happy.
