Bruno Mars Pledges to Donate $1 Million to Flint

He made the announcement after singing "Just The Way You Are."

Last night, Bruno Mars made the announcement during his show at the Palace of Auburn Hills that he'll be donating $1 million to the city of Flint to help with the ongoing water crisis.

The donation will go directly tonthe Community Foundation of Greater Flint. His people released the following statement on his behalf:

I’m very thankful to the Michigan audience for joining me in supporting this cause. Ongoing challenges remain years later for Flint residents, and it’s important that we don’t forget our brothers and sisters affected by this disaster. As people, especially as Americans, we need to stand together to make sure something like this never happens in any community ever again.
