Blind Flint Runner In National Contest for Training Equipment
Let's help Ashley win an ElliptiGO!
If you're part of the Flint running community, or even if you've only been to one or two 5Ks in Genesee County, you've probably seen Ashley Seymour taking part. She's an avid runner...and she's blind.
Obviously, not having her sight creates different obstacles for her in her running career, so she has a guide that runs all of her races with her.
As with most runners, blind or not, running in the winter can be a challenge. So, her friends and members of the A-Team (this girl has her own fan club!) have nominated her for a national contest to win some indoor training equipment.
She's in the running (no pun intended) to win an ElliptiGO, which is a cross between and elliptical and a bike. This will allow her to run without a guide during the winter, indoors.
