One of the area's fastest growing events rumbles into downtown Flint on the weekend of September 23rd-25th. Bikes on the Bricks will mark 5 years and attracts thousands to the Flint area for motorcycle shows, music, contests, vendor displays and for the opportunity to ride with lots of friends.
This year an even larger crowd is expected with the expansion to a third day to accomodate the popular Motorcycle Skills Competition.
Participants can also take part in a 30-mile police-escorted ride on Saturday which goes throughout Genesee County. Riders can register at Vehicle City Harley-Davidson, Top End Cycle, Forest Cycle Works or the Flint Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. Cost is $10 for driver, $5 for passenger and $5 for non-rider. Proceeds benefit children through the Flint Police Activities League.

New for 2011 is the Wall of Death vintage motorcycle show. Seeing vintage motorcycles perform gravity-defying tricks on a vertical board will amaze both young and old. As always, Bikes on the Bricks is free for show participants and spectators. For more information/show schedule visit: www.bikesonthebricks.com
