Is Something New Finally Coming to Miller Road and I-75 in Flint?
It's hard to believe around 2011 Flint, MI still had KMart, Don Pablos and the shell of a Lone Star Steakhouse behind Applebee's and Speedway on Miller Road.
After Don Pablos burned for a second or third time a few years ago, it was torn down in 2021.

The Lone Star Steakhouse building was gone almost 10 years before that.
There hasn't been too much activity in that area since.
Seeing a sign something new coming to Miller Road?
If you're getting lunch from that new chicken joint across the street, you notice things after sitting in the line a while.
Look closely below.
To the left of the Applebee's sign in the sky, there's a new white tarp. Yeah, it's just a tarp, but...
That thing has been sitting untouched for over a decade. Something is going on.
What could be going in behind Applebee's on Miller Road?
We're awaiting a return call from Flint Township. So, we aren't sure just yet.
But there's plenty of property for good things.
U-Haul took over the old KMart property while the two, prime back lots have been open for opportunity a while.
The driveway barricades (below) to the old Lone Star property have clearly been moved for access.
It would be great to see Carrabba's, BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse, The Cheesecake Factory or P.F. Chang's open in Flint. Or resurrect Bubba's Roadside Inn?
While those may not be happening... we're excited to see what's next.
