Wedding Bouquet Toss Helps Win Game
Tumwater and Capital, two high schools in the state of Washington had an amazing 2 point conversion in their Sept. 22 double-overtime battle won by Tumwater. The play has brought the schools national fame.
Behind21-13 with just over three minutes to play, Tumwater scored a touchdown and opted to go for the two point conversion to tie the game. Here is where the national fame comes in.
Quarterback Jayden Croft turned his back to the line of scrimmage and blindly threw the ball over his head toward the goal line — just like a bride would do with a wedding bouquet— and wide receiver Jamie Bryant leaped in the air above the defenders to make the catch.
Tumwater ended up beating Capital 35-28 in double overtime.
