These kids make me question whether or not I should've even graduated.

Six juniors from Utica Schools Center for Science and Industry were tasked by the Ford Motor Company to create something that "solves a community problem." Their idea was to make something that creates energy...while people exercise.

There were about 70 entries into the contest with a hefty cash prize, and the kids came in second place - winning $10K.

Of course, in true education fashion, they've already got plans for the money to fund other projects. They'd love to see the technology that they put into the bike be put into everyday items like revolving doors, etc. to generate energy.

Congrats everybody!
