When Ken McNally took Tuesday off to do some home repairs, he was shocked to see how much help he had...from people he didn't know.

Ken, a military mechanic with the Army National Guard for the last 13 years, was surprised when he found that over 75 volunteers from Home Depot had showed up to help him out. Over $10,000 worth of appliances and landscaping was donated, as part of the Veteran Grant Program that helps to spruce up veterans' homes.

Judy Custer, who runs our area's program, told WNEM, "We've actually helped refurbish and made over 25,000 veteran homes and we plan to reach a billion dollars in the next few years helping veterans all over the country. It's been a great drive and we love it."

Gotta love good news from right here in Flint!
