U of M Study: Women Do Twice As Much Around the House As Men
Did we really need a study to tell us that?
A study from the University of Michigan that stretches between 1983 and 2015 shows that women still do most of the housework.
Thanks, Captain Obvious.
However, the average amount of time that men do housework has increased over the last three decades, so you can take THAT to the bank, guys.
It's only increased by about an hour, but hey, it's better than nothing.
If it's any consolation, though, couples are doing more "marketwork" (paid work outside the home) than housework than they did in 1983. Basically, we're worried about making money and not worried about the beds being made or the dishes being done.
