Two Flint Students Help First Lady With White House Garden – The Good News [VIDEO]
Fourth grader A'layia Howard and fifth grader Xavier Purches from Freeman Elementary were at the White House yesterday.
They were taking part in Michelle Obama's final White House Garden Kitchen Harvest, where she invites kids from around the country to help in the garden.
The garden was founded in 2009, and has nearly tripled in size with the help of White House chefs and National Parks grounds keepers. The First Lady added everything from a compost system to beehives. And the garden will remain there after the Obamas leave.
Regardless of your political affiliation, this is definitely an experience that these kids will never forget.
