Even before the TNT reboot of the classic TV drama 'Dallas' launched in 2012, it was hard to find someone who didn't know the name J.R. Ewing, the villain that everybody loved to hate. In fact, Dallas broke several records with the 'Who shot J.R.?' storyline in the 80s. But with season two of the new version of 'Dallas' premiering tonight on TNT, the question has become... "What will happen to J.R.?"

I remember my grandparents watching 'Dallas' when I was growing up.  Though I had no idea what was happening on the show, I couldn't help but hum along to the show's iconic theme.

Now, 30 years later, my wife and I are not only still humming that catchy tune, but waiting impatiently for the next installment in the drama that is 'Dallas.'

Larry Hagman, the legendary actor behind J.R. Ewing, passed away in November after filming only five episodes of the new season.  The writers had to rework the storyline to pay tribute to the evil character, and the amazing actor that brought J.R. to life.  So how will it all go down?

We will have to find out together, beginning with episodes one and two that air tonight on TNT.  How will it all play out?  How will J.R. meet his end?  Will we be wondering yet again, "Who shot J.R.?"
