It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here at Cars 108!

We have officially switched to Christmas music for the holiday season, so Flint and all of Genesee County, it's time to start rocking around the tree with us!

We were lucky enough to have Burton's mayor Duane Haskins, as well as Santa, Mrs. Claus, and their elf, in the studio this morning to kick off Cars 108's official flip to Christmas!

We know that our listeners have been patiently waiting, and we had to keep things under wraps, but finally we can all celebrate and revel in the Christmas cheer!

Pretty much since Halloween, we've received many phone calls, emails, Facebook messages on the Cars 108 Facebook page, and texts into our FREE downloadable Cars 108 app asking when Christmas music is coming back.

Well, to answer your question, just hear those sleigh bells jingling, ring-ting-tingling too, come on it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you!

We've been ready for the switch just as long as you have! With all the fun holiday things to do in Genesee County and throughout Michigan, like snow tubing at Bowers Farm, the Wayne County Lightfest, and performances of the country's largest singing tree in Muskegon.

It's been fun looking into random holiday questions that Michiganders have had for years, like How Much Does It Cost to Run Bronner's Lights Each Year? Spoiler alert, more than we ever thought was possible, but it seems that's what happens when you run your Christmas lights 361 days a year.

We have a few Grinches in the office who think that all radio stations need to wait until after Thanksgiving to start the Christmas music, but we think it's never too early to start spreading holiday cheer.

So cozy up with a thermos of cocoa and put on your favorite Christmas jams with Cars 108.

And if you live in Genesee County and you're super proud of the holiday lights display you've put up on your house, send us a photo via the Cars 108 app before December 16th, and you could win $500! Find out more about that here.

Stay warm and cozy, folks! Merry Christmas from George, Lisa, Nate, and all of us at Cars 108!
