Tim Allen to Host Premiere of ‘Toy Story 4’ Here in Michigan
Actor Tim Allen is going to infinity and beyond, or at least to Suttons Bay, Michigan.
The Michigander is heading to Northern Michigan to host a pre-release premiere of the latest installment in the Toy Story franchise, 'Toy Story 4.' The event is taking place June 20 at the Bay Community Theatre in Suttons Bay. The animated feature film will open nationally on June 21.
Allen has voiced Buzz Lightyear in the animated Pixar franchise since the original film was released in 1995 and has returned as the character for both 'Toy Story 2' in 1999 and 'Toy Story 3' in 2010.
Allen has always supported Michigan and is attending the special event to show support for Bay Community Theatre which was set to close last year. A group of concerned citizens came to the rescue in efforts to save the iconic theater and it is now a non-profit organization supported by volunteers and financial help from local businesses and individual donations. Board President of the Bay Community Theatre Rick Andrews commented, "We are thrilled Tim Allen is supporting The Bay Community Theatre with this special movie event."
The event starts at 6pm with a ticket cost at only $10. Tim Allen will introduce the film and then take questions from the audience. For more information or to purchase tickets visit the Bar Community Theatre website.
