It was a cold, rainy night at Comerica Park.  Justin Verlander gave up three solo home runs (two to Carlos Quentin), but lit up the radar gun and the rest of the White Sox hitters all night to lead Detroit to a win over Chicago.

The Tigers hitters finally gave Verlander a little help, scoring early and often in the 9-3 victory.  Ryan Raburn drove in 4 runs and scored one to lead the offense.  Verlander gets his second win on the season to go with two losses.  The win brings the Tigers record to the .500 mark at 10-10.

Same two teams go at it tomorrow afternoon at 4 at Comerica park.  The game will be the Fox Game of the Week, televised nationally.

In tonight's game, Justin Verlander notched his 1000th career strikeout.

The Tigers are starting to get it together, now it's time to get above .500 and stay there.
