These 11 Indoor Water Parks Are Just a Hop, Skip, and a Splash Away
A cure for cabin fever can be just a few minutes or maybe a couple of hours away. We found 11 indoor water parks where the kids (and the big kids) can splash and play all day.
Indoor water parks are just as much fun for adults as they are for kids with their giant water buckets, slides, and lazy rivers. When our kids were younger, we had a blast spending countless hours at Splash Village and Great Wolf Lodge playing in the water.
And there are two awesome things about indoor water parks that you may not have considered:
- Nobody really cares about body image. Seriously, it's a place where everybody can put on a bathing suit and have fun without any worry about what the world may see.
- At the end of the day, everybody is exhausted! The kids will sleep like babies, and so will you.
We've ranked 11 indoor water parks located in Michigan and Northern Ohio by distance from Flint, starting with two that are generally just a half-hour drive from the Flint area. If you're feeling adventurous and want to make a weekend out of it, there are a few choices on our list that are all within about a three-hour drive.
Amenities vary by location, of course, and you'll find some that offer day passes if you just want to play for the day and head back home, and some offer special accommodations specifically designed for those on the autism spectrum.
