This new breed, the cava-poo-chon, is the "must have" puppy this Christmas season.

See why.

Cava-poo-chons aren't recognized by the American Kennel Club, but that hasn't stopped this new specialty breed from taking the world by storm. Enthusiasts claim these little sweeties may just be the world's perfect dog.

These new "it" dogs are a triple cross of a cavalier King Charles spaniel, a miniature poodle and a bichon frise mix breed, developed by a geneticist and a reproductive veterinarian. Linda and Steve Rogers of Timshell Farm say that their new breed is healthy, good natured, smart, hypoallergenic and has a longer than usual life expectancy of up to 20 years. The biggest selling point for most though is that they never lose their puppy face. They come in a variety of colors and two types of coats- -curly and very curly.

Cava-poo-chons are not cheap. Puppies sell for between $2,000 and $3,500, but many owners who have one go back to buy another and several have been certified to work as therapy dogs in hospitals and nursing homes. More details about the dog that's all the rage in the video below.

There's no denying that the cava-poo-chon is ultra-adorable, but I think that I have the world's most perfect dog. He is a "teacup" rat terrier and his name is Spartacus.
