When a pet runs off you always hope it will just come back. But in many cases that doesn't happen. Luckily for Ella Bennett, this story has an incredibly awesome twist of fate.

How Long Do You Wait For Your Missing Pet To Come Home?

So how long would you hold out hope when you have a missing pet? One Michigan woman was scrolling through social media, and after three years she was convinced that she was looking at her missing cat.

Being the animal lover that she is, Bennett stumbled across a post from the Lenawee Humane Society that looked much like her missing cat named Buddy. This cat, however, being found without any way to identify it was not called Buddy... but named Snack Wrap.

This was because the cat was found at an area McDonald's ten miles away from Buddy's original home. But again, no one knew that at the time because Buddy wasn't carrying his I.D.

With matted hair and obviously on it's own for years, the Lenawee Humane Society took in Buddy, cleaned him up, shaved him and posted the story of how they found the poor feline. But Bennett was convinced that this was her beloved Buddy.

Back in April, the Lenawee Humane Society posted to social media, 'After a much-needed shave job, some medical attention and lots of TLC, Snack Wrap was officially ready for his second chance.'

They continued with the best possible news, 'Snack Wrap's original owner, who had been missing him for the past THREE years, came across our post and recognized him immediately, even with his new fancy haircut!'
