Add this to the long list of "cool things you can make with a 3D printer."

Vicki Rabe-Harrison, a Cedarburg, WI resident, rescued a duck that had lost its feet to frostbite (thanks a lot, Wisconsin winter). She named him Phillip and, sadly, was planning on having to put the duck down. As a last-ditch effort, she got in touch with a middle school teacher in Oshkosh for help.

Jason Jischke's class started working on a project - to make prosthetic feet on a 3D printer for the duck. It took them 6 weeks to get it right and, at first, Phillip was a little bit wobbly. But he has learned how to walk on his new feet and is now living happily at Autumn Farm Sanctuary in Milwaukee.

I can't even. I'm grinning from ear to ear, especially because this story is from my home state!
