The penguins were like celebrities, marching to their new facility yesterday. Detroit Zoo's Polk Penguin Conservation Center will open on April 18th, and will officially be the largest penguin facility in the world. It will hold 80 penguins from 4 different species. It will hold 325,000 gallons of water, 10 times more than their current home. It will be the deepest penguin aquatic environment anywhere outside Antarctica, and will allow  them to dive 25 feet.

It'll also be pretty sweet for us humans - it will feature 4-D simulation of an Antarctic expedition ship and transparent tunnels.

I am SO. THERE.
