Margaret Bekema was forced to drop out of high school in her junior year to help take care of her family. Her mother had cancer and needed help raising her three younger siblings. After her mother passed away, she worked as a preschool teacher, as well as doing clerical work for the military.

And last Thursday, she was presented with an honorary diploma at the senior community center in Walker, Michigan.

That, my friends, is definitely some good news. Well deserved, Margaret!
