The event that was one of the biggest hit last summer, especially when we needed it most, is heading back to DTE this summer.

Jurassic Quest, the coolest drive-thru dinosaur exhibition ever, is heading back to the grounds of the DTE Energy Music Theatre for some more family fun. The dinos will be hitting Clarkston June 18-July 4.

This will be the second visit to Bob Seger Drive for the "creatures". Jurassic Quest made a stop last summer and was a huge hit with families and dinosaur lovers across the state. The event was originally only scheduled for two weekends last summer, it was expanded to four amid high demand, ultimately drawing about 34,000 vehicles and 125,000 patrons according to the Detroit Free Press.

The Jurassic Quest Drive Thru show features over 70 life-like dinosaurs including the very popular T. Rex, Spinosaurus and Triceratops. Jurassic Quest's herd of animatronic dinos are displayed in realistic scenes that allow guests to experience them roaring and moving from their own vehicles  as they drive their way through the tour.  While you're on the tour you are guided by information and fact from a digital audio tour featuring show entertainers and dino wranglers to make it even more fun.

Guests will stay in their cars throughout the tour with limited contact, if any, with staff who wear masks, social distance, and they will follow all state and local guidelines regarding health and safety in Michigan. The experience takes about an hour to make your way through.

Tickets for the big dino expedition are $49 per vehicle and can be purchased at jurassicquest.com. If you'll be heading to DTE with a large vehicles with nine or more riders you need to contact customerservice@jurassicquest.com for pricing info.
