According to research it's kind of a toss-up. Researchers gave drivers both over 70 and under 20 a computerized vision test then put them on a closed-course driving test three times.
The results show both older and younger drivers who were rated as high crash risk. Both age groups were more likely to have distraction problems during the driving test.
