Are you hoping to avoid a cold or a case of the flu this winter?

Good news! There's an app for that.

The new app, named Sickweather, was released in November and alerts users in real time to the threat of cold and flu symptoms when they enter "sick zones." This app for iPhones monitors social media and then uses GPS technology to track common winter illnesses, so if someone nearby tweets or posts a Facebook update complaining of coughing, sneezing or a nasty stomach bug, the user will be sent an alert. More details in the video below. You can also follow this link to the Sickweather app in the iTunes store or find more information at sickweather.com or on Sickweather's Facebook page.
