Salvation Army Hopes Year-End Donations Help Them Reach 2018 Goal
The Genesee County Salvation Army has not yet met their 2018 goal. Less money was dropped in the red kettles this year, and they are hoping year-end donations help make up the difference.
The drop in red kettle donations this year is believed to be due to less bell ringing days in Genesee County. Pat, AJ, George and I all spent some time ringing the bell this year and I had so much fun doing it. Seeing parents help their children drop a couple dollars in the kettle put the biggest smile on my face.
Major Randy from the Genesee County Salvation Army thinks that year-end donations will help close the $50,000 gap to this years' goal. The red kettle program helps to pay for most of the Salvation Army's programs throughout the year.
