Saginaw Street Closed In Grand Blanc Due To Fatality

Saginaw Street remains closed in Grand Blanc, and has been since around 10:30 tonight. Several emergency vehicles are on the scene. Eye witnesses told Cars 108's Jeremy Fenech that a woman was walking in the travel lanes of a poorly lit section of Saginaw Street between Hill and Maple roads. The witness tried desperately to get her out of the street, but the woman fought her off and kept walking. Seconds later she was hit by several vehicles. The road is currently closed in both directions. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved. UPDATE (12/14/14 1:58am):  Saginaw Street has reopened following cleanup of a tragic accident. It was a a 31-year-old Burton woman who was struck by five vehicles around 10:30 last night. Police pronounced her dead on arrival. WNEM reports that a 17-year-old Grand Blanc teenager was driving northbound when she hit the woman. She was then run over by the other four vehicles. Our hearts and prayers go out to the victim, her family, the drivers involved and the emergency responders.
