Because getting out of our vehicles to pay our respects is clearly too much of a hassle, a Saginaw funeral home has installed a drive-thru window. The new service is being offered by the Paradise Funeral Chapel on Washington in Saginaw, and allows mourners to pay their last respects, sign a guest book, and make memorial contributions without leaving their vehicles.

Funeral home President Ivan E. Phillips tells The Saginaw News that curtains open when a car approaches the drive-thru, and occupants then have three minutes to say their final goodbyes while recorded music plays overhead.

Phillips says the concept wasn't developed as a convenience, but for those who may not be able to come inside the building because of physical limitations.

We can't help but wonder, "Would you like fries with that?"
