Her goal is to collect over 100 toys for kids in the community.

Michaela Witgen is a 4th grader at Peace Lutheran in Saginaw. She's been collecting toys and contributions for Toys for Tots and the U.S. Marine Reserve Corps Christmas collection. She's been turning in pop cans, and people at her church have been bringing her bottle receipts so she can purchase toys.

Her original goal was 70. Now that she's hit it, she's up to 100.

She's also organizing a bake sale and "No Collar for a Dollar" day, where students can forgo the school dress code by donating a dollar.

Michaela does different mission projects throughout the year. It helps because of her brother, Lance Cpl. Andrew Massey, is a U.S. Marine.

If you'd like to help Michaela, you can drop off new, unwrapped toys at Peace Lutheran School by Friday or Peace Lutheran Church by Sunday, located at 3161 Lawndale Road in Saginaw Township.
