If you grew up in the late ‘80s or early ‘90s, this is one of those concerts that’s probably going to hit you right in the nostalgia. Roxette is officially coming back to Michigan for the first time in more than 30 years. And as a huge fan myself, I honestly didn’t think we’d ever see this happen again.

Pine Knob Will Host Roxette’s First Michigan Show Since 1992

MLive reports that the Swedish pop duo is launching a very limited U.S. tour in 2026, and the kickoff show is happening right here in Michigan at Pine Knob in Clarkston on September 10.

What makes this even crazier is the fact that Roxette hasn’t played Michigan since 1992, back when they performed at the Fox Theatre during the peak of their popularity. Their last full U.S. tour was also in the early ‘90s, so this is a pretty rare opportunity for longtime fans.

Of course, things are a little different now. After the death of longtime Roxette singer Marie Fredriksson in 2019 following a battle with a brain tumor, founding member Per Gessle has brought the band back with Swedish singer Lena Philipsson stepping into the co-lead role. While nobody can replace Marie, fans are already excited just to hear those massive songs performed live again.

Roxette’s Biggest Hits Still Dominate Nostalgia Playlists

We’re talking about some of the biggest pop hits of that era too, including “The Look,” “Listen to Your Heart,” “Joyride,” and “It Must Have Been Love.” Roxette still holds the record as the Swedish act with the most Billboard No. 1 songs in the United States.

The Michigan stop is the very first date on the band’s 14-city U.S. run, and tickets go on sale Friday morning at 10 a.m. Taylor Dayne will also be part of the tour, along with Nick Lowe and Los Straitjackets on select dates.

Fans Never Thought They’d See Roxette Live Again

If you’ve ever wanted one more chance to scream-sing Roxette songs in the car with thousands of other people, this is probably it.
