Retired Flint Teacher Invited to State of the Union Address
Chris Burrows will be in attendance at the State of the Union address in Washington D.C. on February 4th.
Retired Flint schoolteacher Chris Burrows is accompanying Congressman Dan Kildee to President Donald Trump's third address to the American people.
Burrows, who just recently retired, is paying upwards of $1,000 per month for his prescription costs (including insulin). He was speaking about it at a roundtable discussion in Burton when Kildee heard about it and invited him to be his guest.
He said that he's been to Washington D.C. before, but this will be a first for him. He wants to bring awareness to the rising costs of medication, and how its affecting the average American.
