Recording Device Found Planted at Flint’s City Hall
Not many details have been released yet as the incident is still under investigation.
The recording device was found as Mayor Sheldon Neeley and his new administration were moving into their offices. The city's police department has confirmed that a surveillance device was found, but that's it. It was found in the mayor's office.
Former Mayor Karen Weaver is out of town and was unavailable to comment on questions from the media.
In Michigan, it's illegal to plant a surveillance or recording device on private property without the owner's consent. It's also a crime to listen in on somebody's conversation without the "consent of all parties."
