Pint-Sized Deputy Captures Fugitive Elf in West Michigan
It takes a tiny deputy to capture a tiny fugitive. Meet Deputy Deaner. This little guy gets the credit for apprehending a wanted fugitive in Kalamazoo County known as Evans the Elf.
Evans was wanted by authorities on a number of activities, including gingerbread house invasions, stalking and Peeping-Tom activities, loitering and trespassing, and acting as an unlicensed spy. The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office posted the elf's mugshot on its Facebook page along with a description. Evans is said to have a high-pitched, maniacal laugh, permanent grin, and rosy cheeks, and is notorious for frightening children and dogs.
A few days later, the sheriff's department posted that Evans had been captured, noting that Christmas is saved.
Our junior deputy from Halloween, saw the post for the capture of the Elf on a Shelf. He took to the streets and located him today, placing him under arrest for his many crimes. Thank you, sir. Christmas has been saved!
Thanks, Deputy Deaner! (Isn't he just the cutest?)
