Northern Strike 26-2 Brings More Than 9,000 Troops to Michigan

More than 9,000 military personnel from 36 states and territories, along with troops from five different countries, have descended on Michigan for Northern Strike 26-2, and it's honestly incredible to think about. This isn't just a few soldiers running drills. We're talking about a massive operation happening all across the state.

The training runs now through August 14, with activity centered around Camp Grayling, but it's stretching everywhere from Lake Michigan and Lake Huron to Battle Creek, Selfridge, Oscoda, Marquette, and even the Rogers City Quarry. According to MLive, there will be aircraft in the sky, military vehicles on the roads, and thousands of service members working together in realistic training scenarios.
