They make silent fireworks??

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has offered the city of Saginaw $5,000 to switch over to a silent fireworks show.

July 5th is traditionally the busiest day for shelters - they see a dramatic increase in the amount of animals that are brought in, most of who have run away because they've been spooked by fireworks. So it's a legitimate concern. Obviously, there's also the concern about veterans with PTSD (which, in our opinion, should be a bigger concern).

The decision will rest on the shoulders of the donors who pay for the six-figure bill, and if it they do decide to go with their offer, it won't be until 2020 - they have a contract with Wolverine Fireworks until then.

Our dog is afraid of fireworks; she hides in the closet. What do you think of the offer?
