Sure, we got some snow here. In fact, Flint's 8.6 inches of snow shattered a record that was established back in 1933. But in one Northern Michigan city, they got more. A helluva lot more.

Residents in Glen Arbor, Michigan near Traverse City are digging out from 30 inches of snow.

“I wasn't expecting it, they said a foot or more, but it’s a foot or more and I'm just happy that I found my car," resident Steven Brotschul told Up North Live.

Not only did were snowfall records around the state broken, but cold weather records have also been shattered as well. Early this morning, Flint saw readings in the single digits, easily breaking the record of 15 degrees, set in 1997.
