Big thanks to Lisa Burau for calling into the show this morning!

It's been a tough time for so many local businesses - retail stores, grocery, restaurants, hairstylists, tattoo artists...and, last but not least, gyms.

According to the reopening plan for the state of Michigan from Governor Whitmer, gyms can reopen starting tomorrow, June 25th. Of course, much like restaurants, not every gym is ready to open. A lot of them are still working on safety protocols.

Orangetheory Fitness in Grand Blanc had their grand opening right around Christmas last year...and then had to close in March during the COVID-19 outbreak.

As of this Saturday, they are officially back open. But what does it look like with the "new" normal?

The owner, Lisa Burau, called into our show this morning to talk to us about what it's been like. She said that class sizes will be smaller, equipment will be assigned, registration will be online and everything will be wiped down frequently.

"There are things that are going to be different but there are a lot of things through CDC protocol that we've already been doing," said Lisa.

They're located in downtown Grand Blanc in the Kroger Plaza.

"We're doing great. It's out of our control so we keep the faith and keep in touch with people; we've been keeping in touch with members through social media."

"You just have to go with the flow, we're all in this together and we're all getting through it."

You can check them out on their website or give them a call at 810-344-4143.
