We've heard about CPS being called on parents for allowing kids to walk to school alone, then there's this guy who some say is being overprotective. I love my kids, and I love technology. A Knoxville, Tennessee father found a way to combine the two. The question remains, is this just a fun way to play with technology, or an overprotective dad who's going to far?

Chris Early used a remote-controlled drone to watch his daughter walk to school. Regarding his 8-year-old daughter, he said, "I could see other people looking up and I'm sure Katie was just like, 'Oh, it's just my dad."

Early, a tech-geek, says he was just playing with his new toy, but it was nice to see her safely arrive at school. I remember walking or riding my bike just under a mile to school by myself, and that was starting in first or second grade. But that was back in the 80s, and times have changed. Obviously it depends on the neighborhood, but what do you think? Is following your kids to school with a drone overprotective? Is it the same as walking them to school?
