Do You Have a Favorite Kid? Michiganders Weigh In
We would all like to think that parents love their children equally, right? Well after posing that question to Michiganders we were stunned with their responses.
On our Facebook page we simply asked "Do Parents Have a Favorite Kid?" We were inundated with responses from our listeners on the phones, on Facebook and on the app.
The Parenting Question Posed
We flat out asked if parents have a favorite kid. While some respondents said that they were referring to their upbringing, other referred to how they were raising their kids.
But as it stands the question, as it was asked, was "Do Parents Have a Favorite Kid?" so there were no restrictions on whether or not we are talking about how you were brought up or how you're currently raising you little Michiganders. The results were surprising.
Michigan Parents and Kids Respond
So what did Michiganders have to say about this? Surprisingly, 65% of our survey's respondents claimed that parents do have a favorite kid, whether that be the way they were parented or by the way they are currently parenting. On the opposite side if that only 17.3% said that parents don't play favorites.
Some of our callers and commenters mention that they have twins and love them both equally, but knowing the parents of a few sets of twins that may vary over the years. .69% of our responders said that their pets are favored over their kids while the same number of respondents claimed that their grandkids are preferred over their kids.
