The Salvation Army will be taking applications for Christmas assistance beginning Wednesday, November 30th through Friday December 2nd from 9am-2:30pm for Genesee County residents. The Christmas Assistance program is intended to help those who would otherwise be unable to celebrate Christmas.. If you, or someone you know, needs help, here are some guidelines.There are two locations that you can apply, the Salvation Army at 211 W. Kearsley in downtown Flint and the Salvation Army Beecher Corps at 1475 W. Coldwater Road. Bring current ID, proof of dependents in the home, current bills, and proof of income.
