Good news for Mott Community College as it has received its largest in-kind donation ever!

Mlive says the money is a result of a new partnership between Mott and Siemens, a "global powerhouse" in electronics and electrical engineering that is based in Washington D.C. The goal is to give Mott students a step up "in their careers with the best and latest programming software." A Dean at Mott Community College, Tom Crampton, says the new software resulting from this partnership will keep students up to speed in real-world applications.

The software grant will be used for the CAD, design and robotics areas of Mott Community College and can be "used to make anything from a washing machine to an airplane to an automobile."

The official announcement is expected later today at Ford Field in Detroit during the 2014 Automotive Summit at the Manufacturing Symposium.
