I'm just back from a little vacation wear I rocked my Detroit vs Everybody tee, and why not? I always get comments and compliments because, hey, it's a cool shirt, and now it seems Gucci agrees.

According to Women's Wear Daily, Detroit vs. Everybody has a new partnership with the luxury Italian brand Gucci. The famous fashion house is going to be working with Tommey Walker’s streetwear brand Detroit Vs. Everybody on a brand new collaboration.

Although there is no exact word on what the collaboration will look like, WWD reports we should see something rolling out to stores soon,  and early pictures of the collaboration using the slogan “Gucci Vs. Everybody” have started popping up on social media.

I dug a little bit more into the news and noticed the Detroit brand teased the Gucci collaboration on its Facebook page last Thursday (February 18) with a date of March 1 noted, but Detroit vs Everybody has yet to comment.

Gucci, however, has confirmed the collaboration and according to WWD has said it is part of its Changemakers initiative. Proceeds from the special lineup of T-shirts will benefit nonprofit organizations.

The brand, started by Walker in 2012, has partnered with a few other licensed projects such as “Atlanta Vs. Everybody,” “Everybody Vs. Injustice,” “Everybody Vs. Racism,” and “Everybody Vs. COVID-19” which sold quickly, ( I love my COVID-19 sweatshirt). The brand also worked with Eminem and Shady Records for the licensed use “Shady Vs. Everybody".
