A Texas mother and her two-year-old daughter are recovering after a pit bull attack that sent both of them to the hospital. Chelsi Camp said that when the dog began attacking her daughter Mackenzi, her animal instincts kicked in, and she bit off the one of the animal's ears. She also shoved her fist into the dog's jaws.

"You do whatever you can," said Camp. "I don't have physical strength at my side."

Camp even had the presence of mind to tell her daughter to roll over, so she would not choke on her own blood. She called 911, and a police officer shot the dog. The animal was later euthanized at the scene.
