We know, technically Tim Allen wasn't born in Michigan, but we proudly claim him as our own since he grew up here, attended college here, and gave the Mitten state a nod having his popular show Home Improvements based in metro Detroit. So it's only fitting that we are all fired up to see our favorite "native son" return to television with a new show.

Tim Allen is teaming up with favorite sidekick Richard Karn (Al Borland from Home Improvements) for a new series on the History Channel. More Power will see the duo talking tools, every day to industrial-strength, and chatting with experts. Each episode will be 30 minutes and focus on one tool.

"Albert Einstein once said, 'I'm not a genius, I'm just passionately curious,'" Allen said in a statement. "Having the opportunity to explore my curiosity in-depth and really get to know more about the people and things that make us what we are today gets me excited. And what better pal to have at my side than Richard Karn? We both share a great appreciation of people who can solve a problem not by talking about it, but by 'doing' it with creativity and amazing skills."

Now, anybody knows when you put Allen and Karn together and toss in tools, it's bound to be a hit. It's what they do! (insert Tim Allen grunts here).
