They're saying that it might be the most one-sided loss for a bill in state history.

"Voters are willing to pay more for better roads," said Roger Martin, the spokesman for the Safe Roads Yes campaign. "They just want to understand what the heck they're voting on."

I'll fully admit that I voted NO, for that very reason. If I knew, without a doubt, that every extra cent of new tax money would go towards the roads, I would've voted YES. But there were too many add-ons that were tagged to this bill. I drive a hybrid car; I don't feel as though I should have to pay more in registration fees because of that. I already make a higher car payment, but I chose to buy a hybrid car. I shouldn't be penalized for it. That was one of the sticking points for me.
