Michigan Player Scores $2 Million Win as Powerball Grows to $1.7B
A Michigan lottery player is $2 million richer after Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing. The real frenzy is still ahead, though, as the jackpot has surged to an eye-popping $1.7 billion, meaning somebody could be in for a monster payday this Saturday.
Michigan’s $2 Million Powerball Winner
The winning ticket was purchased at Sunkiss Market on Puritan Street in Detroit. It matched all five white balls drawn — 3, 16, 29, 61, and 69 — and because the player added the Power Play option, the prize doubled to $2 million.
Wednesday’s win is the second big payout for a Michigan player this week. A $1 million winning ticket was sold at a CVS Pharmacy in Detroit for Monday night’s drawing.

Powerball Jackpot Continues to Climb

Somebody could be in for a monster payday in Saturday’s drawing, set for Sept. 6.
