Michigan Humane Society Saving Animals from Hurricane Dorian – The Good News
More than 70 crates full of fur babies were flown from Florida to Michigan over the weekend.
Volunteers from the Michigan Humane Society scooped up dozens of animals who were in the path of Hurricane Dorian and flew them to Willow Run Airport.
The animals will be given a week to decompress and relax, after which they'll be given health evaluations by a veterinarian. After that, they'll be ready to be adopted.
If you're interested in adopting any of these animals, they'll be available at the Michigan Humane Society, Harbor Humane Society, Capital Area Humane Society, Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit and Michigan Animal Rescue League.
