Last week the NHTSA, or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, sent out recalls for several vehicles including models made by Tesla, Toyota and more.

375,000 Tesla Vehicles Recalled

Elon Musk's Tesla brand is under scrutiny after 375,000 Tesla vehicles have now been recalled due to problems with the power steering system. The issue has been traced back to a problem with printing on a circuit board which affects certain 2023 Model 3 and Model Y with OS prior to 2023.38.4.

Apparently the control board can be over stressed causing difficulty for the driver to control the vehicle. This is more apparent when traveling at low speeds.

Tesla claims that they are not aware of any injuries, crashes or deaths caused by the issue and that they have already posted a software update which is free for vehicle owners.

240,510 Ford and Lincoln Vehicles Recalled by The Ford Motor Company

The Ford Motor Company has also issued recalls due to multiple seatbelt issues affecting some 2020-2021 Ford Explorers and Lincoln Aviators. This is due to seatbelt bolts and screws that may not be securely installed.

If you own one of these vehicles and notice a squeak or rattle in your seatbelts you are urged to take your car to your local dealer to schedule a fix.

General Motors Recalls More Than 70,000 GMC Trucks

The GMC Sierra Truck is being recalled, but only 2022 GMC 1500s that are equipped with front grill deflectors made of chrome. Pieces that hold the grill accessory in place can crack over time which could potentially cause it to fall off which could trigger a crash.
