Corned Beef & Cabbage? No thanks! When it comes to St. Patrick's Day treats, I'll pass on the food, and go straight to the beverages. Green Beer? Check. A McDonald's Shamrock Shake? You betcha!

Hit the jump for a copycat recipe from Babble that you can make at home.

By the way, any idea what year Mickey Dee's introduced that Shamrock Shake?

There seems to be a bit of a discrepancy. McDonald's claims they began selling the minty malt in 1970, but according to Delish, Harold Rosen, who owned a Golden Arches in Connecticut claims he introduced that shake in 1966.
